(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was talking to my dad and we got on the topic of gaming after I showed him a picture (meme of PC Masterrace) where it said "Enjoy playing your games in 480p console peasant".

So here's the conversation:

*I show him picture*

Him: "No doubt, hey!? Doesn't PC support twice as many players? *regarding BF*"
Me: "Yeah, on BF3 they can have up to 64 (maybe even more) players, 120fps, and 1080p gameplay"
Him: "It's been awhile since i've built a PC..."
Me: "Do you think we'll be able to make a powerful PC for, like, gaming once *insert thing here* is done?"
Him: "Yeah!"

Today:

Me: "Were you serious about what you said yesterday?"
Him: "What's that!?"
Me: "About maybe building a powerful PC..."
Him: "Yeah."

Don't wanna get my hopes up but.... PC Masterrace!? :happycry:

So to make this about GD, a poll will be inserted to see what you play on.

I've often thought of taking this approach where you take the basic route such as buying a case, a power supply, a cpu, a motherboard, ram, and a decent HDD. It would be your essential computer, and eventually when you get more money you could buy a nice high end gpu and run games on ultra and get great fps.

I actually built something along those lines and without an optical drive since you don't really need one nowadays. And if you ever do you can just buy a dvd drive for $20. The total came out to $673.93 on pcpartpicker.

Of course you'll be able to install Windows 7 or 8 via USB via pirating methods, or you could buy it and have a legit copy. :p

Thanks for replying in that manor, i was expecting someone to reply with "Haha, your poor if you cant afford a good pc - like time" so thank you for your kind response Smile I have always been a console gamer from the start, its kind of in the blood if you say. I see your ideas though i mean im no computer wiz and have no idea how to build a good pc for starters next time i build one il be on here asking for help to get it the cheapest but the best it can be. I mean ill be spending £350 on a PS4 but in PC terms would could £350 get me? Of course on top there will be games, PSN+ to play online etc but nice way of building one! Smile See optical drive, that just goes straight over my head haha sorry! Yeah my current windows 7 is a pirate copy, dont tell anyone :p But thanks for replying i mean my PC's good enough to play Minecraft and thats all im happy about it struggled with the New simcity but was okay

PS3 - the hardware's like 7 years old now so it shouldn't be compared to pcs anyway. When it comes to PS4 later this year it'll essentially be a one-off investment that will last me the next 6/7 years and all I need to do is purchase games. Plus the games will only get better as time goes by (just compare FoM and TLoU for instance on ps3).

Edit: Also, at the end of the day all my friends play consoles. I have no interest playing alone with only the pretty lights coming off my 150 quid keyboard to keep me company tears

I play on PC almost everyday, but I will go on xbox to hang out with my friends on there and sometimes play co-op because they don't have a powerful enough computer.

I built my pc on $700, it's a beast

Unfortunately I still use VGI. Too lazy to get DVI or HDMI.
