(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I was talking to my dad and we got on the topic of gaming after I showed him a picture (meme of PC Masterrace) where it said "Enjoy playing your games in 480p console peasant".

So here's the conversation:

*I show him picture*

Him: "No doubt, hey!? Doesn't PC support twice as many players? *regarding BF*"
Me: "Yeah, on BF3 they can have up to 64 (maybe even more) players, 120fps, and 1080p gameplay"
Him: "It's been awhile since i've built a PC..."
Me: "Do you think we'll be able to make a powerful PC for, like, gaming once *insert thing here* is done?"
Him: "Yeah!"

Today:

Me: "Were you serious about what you said yesterday?"
Him: "What's that!?"
Me: "About maybe building a powerful PC..."
Him: "Yeah."

Don't wanna get my hopes up but.... PC Masterrace!? :happycry:

So to make this about GD, a poll will be inserted to see what you play on.

I play PC and PS3. In my opinion I like PC better, but unfortunately my PC sucks so I can't play all the games I want so I'm mainly on PS3.

I'm an old school gamer, so I'm going to have to go with the PS3. I never could get into the keyboard and mouse thing, or having to sit in front of a computer screen.

PC, the options are limitless, it's not hard to build a PC, and surprisingly it comes out cheaper than console gaming, which does seem counter intuitive at first. You could end up like me gaming on a QHD monitor (2560x1440,) with 120 fps, and massive mod support. My games look gorgeous.

I dont have £1000's of pounds to build a top quality gaming PC, i get what i can with the money i have. I stick to consoles because i can afford them. Most of the time its my parents helping putting money towards them. By all means if i had a ton of money id build a a beast gaming PC but right now i don't have the money plus ive always been a console gamer since 5/6. So PS3 for me.

I have been thinking about looking into upgrading my PC, just finding the space for it.
Right now how I play video games console suits me more. Certain titles are better on PC but certain titles are better on console like COD.

Mods can make a PC worth it! I have GTA SA and you can play multiplayer with upto 1000 people on 1 server. However I dont always use it as I mostly buy games on my PS3 and thats what all my friends play on tears

Mostly PS3, I've played both recent fallout games on my laptop with mods. They actually play fine on max settings, just gets to hot after a while and I don't want to damage anything so I just uninstalled both.

I can understand that reasoning, but at the same time you don't have to spend $1000s to build a decent rig. You could probably spend around $750 and play most games on medium. I've often thought of taking this approach where you take the basic route such as buying a case, a power supply, a cpu, a motherboard, ram, and a decent HDD. It would be your essential computer, and eventually when you get more money you could buy a nice high end gpu and run games on ultra and get great fps.

I actually built something along those lines and without an optical drive since you don't really need one nowadays. And if you ever do you can just buy a dvd drive for $20. The total came out to $673.93 on pcpartpicker.

Of course you'll be able to install Windows 7 or 8 via USB via pirating methods, or you could buy it and have a legit copy. :p
