Well, my mom finally decided that's she's gonna call the podiatrist tommorow to find out when I can I get mine removed.
Like any other pussy/****** in this world I'm scared to death because of how the anesthesia shot is gonna hurt.
And worst for me cause I hate needles.
Any advice?!
Look away and try not to move your foot... I kind of twitched and made the needle go farther into my toe; hurt like a bitch..
After the first two or so shots (depends on which toe), everything goes from pain to more of a pinch.. And once they start taking the nail out its just pulling.. Afterwards there is some pain, but you get used to it, or I did..
Ingrown toenail surgeries aren't always 100% effective; I have had one on my left big toe which has come back 3 times now. This time the skin on the side completely grew back over the old nail-bed, so it's super painful (isn't bad right now) but will be a bitch for the podiatrist to get too. I have to go back in to have it done with... Doctor said podiatrist might remove the entire nail.
All in all you just need to play through the shot and think hard about something else; I had blood drawn the other day and just thought about GTA 5, didn't realize she had the needle in and was drawing blood. I straight up told the lady drawing my blood, " I'm 23, I've got a tattoo, am going in for some more soon... But, I hate shots and work my self up over them"
When I was 10 they had to have a handful of nurses hold me down for a regular booster; 14 years old or so I sat at the doctors for a good hour +, finally gave in because I was starving.
Good luck! And the majority of the thing with shots is you work yourself up, just breath deep and keep yourself distracted.
