(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Where do I start? I want one to record mostly gameplay from my consoles but I dont know what I need. I want something with good quality but not overly expensive. I usually run hdmi so ill have to switch cables to record obvioulsy. I also already own the standard av cable for both systems so I can just use those plugged into the recorder right? Anybody with capture card experience please help me.

Ive had one for about five years now.

Heres a hd one on newegg that will work great.

Or you can get one from dazzle on newegg that will work just as good.

Make sure you use S-video though for best quality

For the dazzle I will need spliters to be able to connect to the system right?

Just your regular cable coming from your ps3 to the dazzle then dazzle goes to usb i believe.

oh yeah you can do that, or just run your composite video to your tv, then run your s-video to the dazzle.

capture with the s-video and just use composite to play on your tv if you like. You will have to splice wires to make it longer. If you don't feel comfortable splicing wires you can always buy extension composite female to male so it will reach your tv while you capture.

Thanks for the help i plus repped you but while im talking with you, What exactly do I need besides the dazzle for s video? Like what cables and such (no splicing) I know what I need for the other method I mentioned, but not the s video method. Will it give me better quality, or should i stick to the other one? Thanks

Dazzle aren't very good quality mate, from what I've seen anyway. I paid £20 for my capture device which does a MUCH BETTER JOB. You can always get an easycap www.easycap.co.uk, costs £12 or something. With this you get good quality, still better than the Dazzle.

Here is a sample
