(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello nGu, I'm here to talk about how i found out i was a diabetic. :(

So one day i was walking my GF to her home then all of a sudden i realized i was getting thirsty, Like extremely thirsty & i also couldn't produce saliva so i call my mom since she's a nurse & i tell her whats going on, So she then tells me right off the bat that i could of had Diabetes, I didn't take it serious so the next day my GFs dad had his glucose meter & BTW he was also a Diabetic so i checked my blood & the meter it read "Hi" meaning it was above 500 & normal blood level is 80-130 so then i realized "FUCK I'M A DIABETIC" everyone was freaking out [my GFs family] i was then rushed to the hospital where i stood for a week and a half. I was 17 when i found out now i'm 19!. And i got diabetes because it was hereditary not because i was fat or anything, I hate when people think that!!! But um yeah, Now i have to deal with this disease for the rest of my life which can be a pain sometimes! Always pricking your finger & taking insulin, Freaking sucks but what can i do!...

Anyway that's my story sorta... I could of gone into depth but i didn't want to boar you guys reading this?! if it was...

My uncle has diabetes ever since he was a kid. He apparently missed a lot of school because of it and he also only gets to have his favourite drink (root beer) only once and a while. It doesn't affect me in any way, but I know it affects him a great deal. My grandpa is also diabetic, but he doesn't really worry too much about it so I guess he's not affected too badly.

He doesn't check it as often as he should. When he was first diagnosed a few years back he didn't really get on the whole cutting back sugar and things like that, but now he's more careful about it. I guess because he's so careful now he feels like he doesn't have to check it as often, but I don't really know what he does now.

My doctor thought I was because of a couple of reasons.. Mine would have been because of my weight (It is something I'm working on; it's a slow process... Building a home gym here soon). But, my AC1 came back normal; they still would like me to go in every couple months to do testing.

I'm a hypochondriac, so at one point I convinced myself I was diabetic [also attempted to convince myself that I was possibly autistic] and did some research (refused to see the doctor at the time for diabetes thought). I learnt a fair amount about diabetes and what the people with that disease have to go through, I hope with all my being that we find a cure... Mainly for those who become diabetic via, genetics.

I couldn't agree more. One day i just want to wake up & say i "USED" to have diabetes, You know? & Of course, Your not expected to lose weight in an instant. Its a slow process but it'll get done. Winky Winky
