(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Good news for fans of Games Of Thrones as Sunday 6th April 2014 was confirmed as the start date of the show’s much-anticipated Season 4 by HBO.

Game of Thrones wrapped its third run in June 2013 with near-record ratings of 5.4 million viewers and, although an air date hasn’t been released for Irish viewers just yet, we imagine that Sky customers will only have to wait a few days at most before they’re (legally) allowed to watch the latest adventures.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the fourth season of Game of Thrones will pick up where the last began, finishing up its adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords – the third of seven planned books in the series’ source material.

In the meantime though, why not get your head stuck into the books again which, don’t forget, you can very handily bookmark to highlight all of the horrific deaths throughout the entire saga.
