Well, today in Biology my teacher made a comment about the recent chemical spill that happened a few counties above mine. A tanker leaked out a chemical that smells like licorice or cough syrup, that eventually spread to the Elk River (which is a major water source for that part of West Virginia). Anyways, an estimated over 300,000 people are without water unless they either have bottled water or a well. The chemical is 4-Methylcyclohexane Methanol, which isn't deadly at it's most potent state.
This reached national news.
