I was in the same situation, except I am not gangsta. More jock type..anyways
Just go up to her in her friend group, put out your hand for a handshake and say
"My name is Scooter, what is yours?"
She will say her name. REMEMBER IT. People, especially girls love to hear their name
And then ask her about her weekend, how her halloween was, and talk with her friends too. Theres a lot of drama with girls, so make her friends happy also
This will be awkward. You try to make it not akward and act confident. Every girl I have talked to say they love confidence in guys, which explains why douchebags get the hot ones
Now, a few days later go up to her, say Hi (her name). You look preetty today, I like your outfit(compliment her). You can try flirting with her, but the second time get her number, or facebook. After I meet random girls they usually find me on facebook the next day, which is nice

well to start off u have to wait for the moment i know you dont like her but if shes in any of your clases after a class be like ah man i hate that class and start a normal conforsation with her its not that hard!!!! after you do it you will be like wow i cant believe i was worrying so much. or what i would do is walking down the hall in school and when u see her give her a eyebrow raise(a couple) lol jk ) and be like hey< hows it going.. you cant really ask people on how to do things they just come to you>> youll do just fine
