Campbell Newman and the LNP have been bombarding Queenslanders with ridiculous, over the top laws for quite some time now. Including but not limited to; the hooning laws, bikie laws and the out-of-control party laws..

They leave no consideration for the people of Queensland, they listen to the minority that agree with them and go with that.

Having a legislation in relation to parties is necessary, but the current penalties for out-of-control parties is ridiculous, and their way of defining an out-of-control party is also ridiculous.

12 or more people gathering, and 3 or more of them being a nuisance then classes the event as out-of-control. This leaves no room for celebration for any kind of occasion now without the severe risk of having your life ruined with a $12,100 fine or 1 year’s imprisonment minimum. This is unfair, unjust and uncalled for.

These laws need revision, and need to be lessened.

These laws have been based off of the few parties or events that have gone wrong, such as idiots who host open house events, and other kinds of events that can have anyone come..

People such as myself who have hosted successful parties, and have gone to the effort to provide security, medics, fencing, and everything necessary and doing the right thing are getting blindsided.

These laws can be used against innocent people hosting small things with friends. Basically these laws are stating you cannot have more than 11 friends over without being at risk of being charged.
