I would punch the fuck out of someone if they did that to me! And yes, I would assume it would hurt your hearing. Your ears aren't made for high frequency volumes.

That isn't the worst you can get, try using headsets and some person puts a loud song that it isn't even a song, it's just random shit.

you know what sad is that I have 70% hearing loss so when I play games with my Astro's A40 people expect me to hear them (Footsteps) all the the time even when they know my hearing problem, So I say no

Doesn't 1 second not hurt it since it's not long enough and your ears just repair it?

It's not going to make you deaf, it's not going to impact your hearing in your future life if it hasn't already. Don't get worked up about it. Was there damage? Technically speaking, yes, but keep in mind that ANY sound actually wears down the ear over time. So by damage I mean it's extraordinary microscopic and insignificant in nature. It's happened to me plenty of times and I still hear exceptionally well. You have nothing to panic over. You probably do more damage while listening to music with headphones on (even at normal volume) than a one second scream into your ear.

Just adding to what you said, depending on how old you are there is nothing to worry about, you may hear a little ringing, buzzing, high pitched noise, or even sounds like wind, that will be tinnitus, it's were the hairs in your ear have moved or are vibrating differently, nothing to worry about until it becomes deafening which happens when you get older, and your doctor can sometimes repair that.

So don't panic. Smile
