(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Satoru Iwata, president and CEO of Nintendo, reportedly faces troubling challenges this summer.

According to Nikkei, Iwata is coming upon a "June of trials," as the Nintendo president's approval rating has dropped for the past three years. Nintendo hosts a general shareholder meeting every June, in which the company's investors vote to approve Iwata back on the board of directors. The report states Iwata's approval rating was 92.9 percent in 2011, but that dipped to 77.3 percent last year.

Nintendo...

Why don't they just call the company Mario? That's pretty much the only thing they shit out anyway, constant re-hashes of Mario games.

I love how 77.3 percent is seen as a low number :p
Curious what happens Nintendo has lost it's way and has no real golden cash cow. Maybe new blood is needed at the top, and a series of new studios. Time for Nintendo to turn into a software company or keep going at the hardware business.
