In my opinion if I had to choose a LIFE partner I'd have to go with the ugly chick, a nice caring woman that does shit for me and doesn't bitch at me is better than one that's hot but insecure about herself and dresses like a slut or what not and will eventually cheat on me leading to a divorce sooner or later. Buuuuut if I just want a temporary relationship and basically just an object I want to **** then I'd have to go with the hot chick =].

Like said before, i'd go 50/50.
But since you said what would i prefer, i'd go with a less attractive girl with an attractive personality. If you get with a hot chick who is a complete bubble, you'd be tired of talking to her pretty quickly and you'll get sweet lady divorce involved.
But if you went with an ugly chick, sure you could have a decent conversation, but it'd be behind closed doors so nobody would see you're with here.
50/50 is the perfect combination
