After watching the ‘Big Three’s’ conferences, there was a big debate as far as whom I felt won this year and it really was a close matchup this year. So instead of coming right out with my winner and why, we’re going to breakdown each conference and then tell you my selection, we’ll go in the usual order: Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. I won’t be analyzing Ubisoft nor EA because they are a different level as far as the importance goes.

Microsoft kicked off their presentation with quite the bang; You must login or register to view this content. and really continuing the momentum by introducing the next You must login or register to view this content. and continuing with their current IPs as well as a few new ones such as You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content. (Which gave me goose bumps with announcement of Conker). At the end of the presentation Microsoft ended extremely strong with talks of You must login or register to view this content. (Priced at $60). Now what really was great about the entire presentation was the great focus on games. There was very little to almost no new hardware updates or anything like that, simply just games. Not too many new IPs, but a lot of great oldies; like You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content.. Like Phil Spencer told us at the end Microsoft showed us “90 minutes of games”, but the problem was it was about half filler and half games. Which really was the factor that brought MS down at this year’s E3.

Sony came in kicking this year at E3 with a lot of crazy announcements and keeping the same focus as Microsoft and talking about games, games, and more games. Although, just like MS, they had a lot of fill, but announced a little more indie games than Microsoft. There was truly one main focus however and that was You must login or register to view this content.. With the announcement of the Beta that is released July 17th and the Alpha released today to all PS4 Users and really keeping it strong with the White PS4 bundle announcement. Unlike Microsoft, Sony kept their focus on what appeared to be very near releases and a lot more indie IPs, like You must login or register to view this content. and You must login or register to view this content.. Sony continued to announce at the end of their conference an entirely new console that we’ve known about since last November in Japan, but here in America Sony fans can get their hands on the PlayStation TV this fall. Sony ended strong with You must login or register to view this content., You must login or register to view this content., and You must login or register to view this content. (Which looked absolutely stunning). The problem with Sony was the same as Microsoft, way too much filler. This didn’t exactly ruin the conference, but it really hindered it in my eyes.

Finally, we’ll talk about Nintendo….

And that speaks for itself. Nintendo really stepped up their game and listened to the fans and had virtually no filler in their presentation and absolutely did an amazing job this year.

Nintendo's presentation was spot on. They made the filler less boring with gameplay from every interview and made it interesting for a change, they didn't have some guy standing in front of the camera for 25 minutes talking about how much time and effort they put into the game; this was genius. Nintendo targeted the internet with their entire event and did an outstanding job. However, there were a few things that turned me away from Nintendo yet again. The boys at Nintendo have kinda been playing the same tune since they started. They keep showing us the same two universes; Zelda and Mario. Yes, I understand those are the keystones of Nintendo, but its inevitable that a new Mario or a new Zelda will be released, just like we know there will be a new Call of Duty every year. But, unlike Call of Duty, Zelda and Mario have sorta been re-imagined with their new games. 'You must login or register to view this content.' seems like it would be fun, for about a month and that's upsetting that Mario has really just grown that old. While 'You must login or register to view this content.' looked like the savior of Nintendo and probably one of the most monumental moments at this year's E3. Something else that was really like a 'HOLY SHIT' moment was this little interview You must login or register to view this content.. Those who know Nintendo, know what those blurred images actually are; that's right folks, Starfox is on his way back! So with these announcements and a lot more that were made at the You must login or register to view this content. and during the rest of the You must login or register to view this content., Nintendo was able to win my heart back with the oldies and won my vote for this year's E3.

So who won your vote this year? Was it one of the Big Three? Or a one of the newcomers? Post your votes and arguments below! I'll be more than happy to justify my vote and any other disputes you have against this review. So lets have some fun in this thread!

In Flames Much?
Sony gave an average one within their normal style the problem is comes with a couple of faults.
Nintendo does a cracking job at these events and this year was the same may be 1st party titles but overall showing was great.
More I watch this the more it appears to be a directed not towards gamers but stock holders.
