Alright, so today I got this super crazy math challenge about some fact and trying to figure it out. I haven't solved it yet but I want to see if you guys can solve it. Note that it took a few days for some of my students to solve this lol. It's going to confuse the hell out of you Winky Winky.

Fact:
Cats can't add but they do multiple! In just 18 months, female cats can have 2000 descendants (in other words, more kids).

Figure out whether this number of descendants is realistic.

Here are some facts you will need:

-Length of pregnancy is about 2 months
-Age at which a female cat can first get pregnant is about 4 months
-Number of kittens in a litter (birth): 4-6 kittens
-Average number of births the female cats can give in one year: 3
Age at which female cat no longer has kittens: 10 years

Good luck solving it, and no cheating! Gandalf the Grey. First person to get it correct gets +150, must have proof of course of the math problem.

Because "descendant" means their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc. And not just THEIR kids alone.
Because if so then it would seem possible.

1. :kitty: - :kitty:
2. :kitty: - :kitty: - :kitty: - :kitty: <-- Children
3. :kitty: (x4-6 babies) :kitty: (x4-6) :kitty: (x4-6) :kitty: (x4-6) <-- GrandChildren
4. :kitty: (x4-6)(x4-6) :kitty: (x4-6)(x4-6) :kitty: (x4-6)(x4-6) :kitty: (x4-6)(x4-6) <-- Great Grandchildren

1. Mom and Dad
2. Mom and Dad have 4-6 babies. Which are their children.
3. Then each one of their children having 4-6 babies. Which would be their Grandchildren.
4. Then each grandchild having 4-6 babies and then those 4-6 babies having their own 4-6 babies. Which would be their Great Grandchildren.

But I don't know if that would equal 2000 descendants in 18 months. I guess I could try the math but I don't want to unless I know that grandchildren and great grandchildren count?

LOL I don't even know if the shit I just typed makes any sense. Drack
FUCK MATH.
