When you cut a chicken's head off, it keeps running. This could still be the fish's nerves moving. If it was truly alive it would be flopping all over.
Speaking of which, I go to Michigan every summer and catch a ton of bluegill. After fileting over a thousand fish this doesn't phase me at all. Part of it is stabbing the fish right through the eye(direct route to the brain) and twisting the kife so it dies. It goes through a mini-seizure as I break its spine and **** up the brain haha If you want a challenge, fliet it alive without killing it first. I should get a video of me doing it, you guys would love it
edit: I think its a carp. Carp are ****ing scum and deserve to get eaten alive.
