If you don't mind me asking, what's the pay for that like?
I'm a salaried advisor which is rare in my industry, I'm at six figures, about $150k, and if the firm does well my ownership share of the profit is about another $50k
If you are in a typical firm, you share (commission) in the revenue that you generate with your firm. Average national advisor salaries are about $100k. However that's skewed by high producers and a lot of low producers dragging it down.
I manage $130M of client assets, if I were on my own that would be gross revenue of $1.3M. Figure taxes, staff and expenses would net me $400-$600k a year.
