Yes, we cant be the only ones in the universe there must be intelligent life out there somewhere. There have been many so called "encounters" in the past decades that indicate there actually might be life somewhere in the universe.

Many believe the government is hiding this away from us. If the government were to announce such a fact, certain people would panic. How would different religions explain it? If it was so hard for us to accept another SKIN COLOUR, how do you think we would manage the existence of a more advanced species? Some people would want to destroy them, when they actually mean no harm at all. Aliens are way past violence, evolution has made them realize that it's not the way to go.

Don't believe in "Aliens" at all but I do believe in Extraterrestrial Life. I think that on some planet in some Universe life form must exist in one way or another.

Also have a listen to this song:

Extraterrestrial life topics seem to stir up a ton of controversy all over the internet and in real life, just on the sole fact that some people find it hard to believe that there is a chance that other life forms could exist in our enormous and ever expanding universe. My opinion however differs from most, I acknowledge that there is a possibility of other intelligent life somewhere in our universe. However, I've never witnessed or experienced such an event where I can say that we're not the only intelligent life without reasonable doubt. Personally, I find multiverse's or parallel universes more believable, more so the many-worlds interpretation. Of course that is completely different topic which is aside the point of this thread and can get technical with discussions of quantum mechanics.

Going to Mars and not seeing extraterrestrial life doesn't keen they don't exist. That's like saying I went to my back garden and didn't see any Elephants and therefore they don't exist. The Universe is huge and the possibilities are practically endless.

I do believe there is life somewhere else, it's just hard to prove it because there's infinite planets and we can't see all of them. There was one planet mentioned which contained a full sea water but it's like 15 trillion light years away. We won't be able to see them ever in life since they are soo far away :(

I do believe that planet in particular was the one they called the sister planet to Earth, but it was slightly larger correct?

Yeah and the planet was all water land but had the right temperature

It's named Kepler-20f

I do indeed believe that there are other forms of life. Facts can't really get to the point of proving that they're there. But, there are some researchers that have found valuable information that leads to the multiple reasons of existing life forms and how they came to be. This topic creates a lot of conflict with people because it can't be proven, it's mostly a matter of opinionated things. Researching increases the chance of it being true, but there is nothing else that shows existence of different forms of life. As Joel stated there are multiple planets that can't even be seen due to their length away from Earth that is 10's trillions of lightyears away from Earth.
