I personally have the ASUS VG248QE. It's almost identical if not better than the BenQ XL2420T/XL2420TE but a lot cheaper. Both are TN panels so the color at first is going to seem a bit wonky but after awhile you won't notice it. I'm not trying to say, stay away from BenQ, but for what they offer they are rather expensive. You're mainly buying their brand name.

Why type of monitor depends on his hardware also and what he plays

That is true, but by definition the the monitors I listed would be considered gaming monitors for all intents and purposes. It's still nice to have a really high refresh rate even if you don't approach the required frames for that refresh rate. You'll still get a much smoother experience say at or around 85-100fps. At least you won't be stuck viewing at 60hz.

Yea if you got a console a IPS with a responce under 5 ms will work if PC then it depends on his hardware because there's rog 1440p 144hz 1080p 144hz 4k 30hz TVs run at 1080p 120hz and qnix Korean 1440p clock up to 100hz :p

True. OP wasn't very specific about his platform, for all we know he could be console. That ROG monitor though, oh man that thing is god like especially with g-sync. :fap:
