If you have a really good joke then tell people in the shoutbox but don't spam it, and update your old thread. Lots of people are tired of seeing half the general discussion filled with "Your mom is fatter than whitey" or other things. Don't make a whole new thread for every joke you find, just update your old one! Thanks.

The fact that you, a non mod, are trying to tell the whole of NGU not to do something because you don't like it. Your topic title says it all "Don't make joke threads!"

It obviously isn't just him, I'm sure if there was a poll majority of the people would vote no for joke threads. He just happened to point it out, he's not acting like a mod.

I am not trying to act like a mod nor am I a wannabe mod, i'm just telling people to stop with the threads because they're annoying and getting out of hand. Seriously how is that making me act like a mod? It's not only a mods job to help people and tell them what to do. Anyway, I am in no way acting like a wannabe mod and asking a mod to "close" a thread doesn't make them a wannabe either. I also have freedom of speech.

While i disagree with "no joke threads" i think there should be some sort of section for them because it is getting slightly out of control. But joke threads should be allowed, they keep us entertained. But like you said people should be updating their thread, but this doesnt seem to happen which, even if there was a joke section, would still need to be done..

That's what i'm saying, I'm not saying get rid of them completely, i'm just telling people don't make a new thread every time you here a new yo mamma joke, just update your old thread or we could have a section or thread where you can post all the jokes you want.
