I don't know about 'screamo' but I can suggest some good death metal bands. Check out some Devildriver, Whitechapel, the new Carnifex album is sick, and Suicide Silence now has the lead singer from All Shall Perish, and I think they sound better than ever. These aren't new bands by any means but if you've never checked em out, seize the opportunity.

To answer your question there's machine head, death angel, daath, mastodon, chimaria and evile
Have you thought of listening to stoner rock, sludge metal and progressive black metal?
One of my current favorite songs
