Dragonball is not ground breaking when it comes to plot.

Team four star do dubs of the series, which are quite good and recently got me watching the originals.

I haven't seen much but I have seen:

Berserk (Trilogy and starting the TV series and just started the manga)
Sword art online 1 and 2
Death Note

Code Geass R1 and R2
Astro Boy
I have a lot lined up to watch and have only really seen the 'entry level' anime because I only started watching anime like a month ago. But I watched astro boy years ago before realising it was an anime. I also think sub is better with most animes but death note has a good dub.
