Cynical part of me believes this post is nothing but clickbait for traffic.
As the world gets more connected every service becomes an target with massive gold mine hidden within the servers. Does not help that companies are asking for more data with the promise nothing bad going to happen. Every time a crack happens trust is broken with these major companies and we're less likely to buy into it.
