I'm le back
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I'm 18 years old. Still a little boy compared to life. Just want opinions, I don't care if I don't like them or like them, all I want is to hear what you guys/girls have to say about this.

I turned 18 in march 19th, and I got my licensed fast so I could start driving as soon as possible. I don't have a car then or now. My big brother's car damaged, broken down. COudn't move or even start the car. So my parents let him borrow the car until his car was fixed. (took a long time btw)

In those months that he was using my father's car, that's "sopoused" to be mine "very soon", he used it to hang out with his girlfriend, which I can't blame him for having some fun going out with GF around town. Even to the beach. NOw I started Uni, (which is a pain in the ass), My parents tell me that I only can use the car to go to the uni and come back,(my brother's car is fixed by now), I asked if I could go to the beach with some friends, cause they had it planned. My parents told me No, cause that car dosen't have any protection what so ever.

Back then the car also didin't have any protection (alarm etc..) Only door locks. So I'm forced to be stucked here (in my house) from monday-friday doing nothing at all. The only DAY i can go out it's a saturday, and I've stoped going out cause I don't see the point anymore, only going out one day. My question is why can my brother have these benefits that I don't have.

Don't come with these solutions:
-Because he's older.
-Because he has more experience.
-Because he's an adult.

Because he's older, has more experience, and is an adult.

Trolling aside, fuck if any of us would know. I'd go off the basis that you're a new driver. Just ask your parents brah, you're an adult.

Did you buy the car? Do you pay for insurance or gas for the car? It's their car, they do not have to be rational about letting you use it. If you want to be able to use a car, nothing is stopping you from saving up to get one yourself.

You live in their house. You have to live by their rules.

There is no answer to this question. But I'll give you a little insight.

I am 21, in college, and living in my parents house. I have an older sister who is 24, and two younger siblings, twins, that are 10. My sister fucked up a lot, and made many mistakes. Even though she's not much older, those 3 years made a difference.
There are times now where my parents treat me like a child, and I have to remind them that I am not a child. Your parents probably learned a thing or two from parenting your brother. Chances are your parents made a few mistakes. (Just like every parent)
You also have to think that they pay for the car. It is their car, their money, their insurance, their problem if you fuck it up. Or maybe they are just saying no, to say no. Either way, it won't matter because the car isn't yours. I bought a Range Rover ($65k) when I was 18, with money I earned from penny stocks. I paid $50k up front, and paid the rest on a note. My insurance, car note, and gas were all paid for by me, and me only. The problem was that the title was in my father's name, for tax purposes and insurance. (Cheaper) There was times where he would try to "ground" me from my own car. I couldn't help but laugh, and leave any way. How that made sense to him, I'm not sure, but parents will try anything to have the upper hand, most of the time.

These are all a liable option... Or, maybe they just hate you.

Thank your all for the honest opinions. Just needed a little advice or anything for tha matter.
one thing that I'm ask my self is, that if the car is theirs and they pay for everything (I get that) but when my brothers used to use it why didin't they growl at him for using it for pure hanging and buying stuff. That's what really gets me upset. Cause they're treating me like if I was a 16 year old.
