Today Will Be Different
Yeah they do have shows like Mythbusters which is enjoyable to watch, but they also have a lot of reality shows, which I absolutely detest. Of course you have the History Channel which went to shit when they rolled out Ice Road Truckers, American Restoration, Swamp People, and all of these shows that have no historical significance. Don't even get me started on Pawn Stars. Since when does conning people out of their money by low balling, and being deceptive, constitute making history. I know plenty of pawn shop owners who are more fair than these "Tinseltown Wannabes." Only thing I can think of worse than those shows I listed would be Ancient Aliens, which I'd rather not get into hyperbole.
What happened to documentaries on historical events, like the Roman Empire, Macedonia, Ancient Greece, the Battle of Thermopylae, the Byzantine Empire, the American Revolution, the Civil War, and World War I. What about people like Nero, Brutus, Julius Caesar, Euripides, Homer, Aristotle, Socrates, Hippocrates, and Plato. Granted know of this was in chronological order, but you should get the point if you actually enjoy watching shows about HISTORY.
Like the shit they air now isn't even worth watching, and it just blows my mind that people enjoy watching shit that belongs on A&E, E!, VH1, and MTV.

actual history channel is good at 7-11am during the week days when most people are at work and history 2 is my favorite conspiracy theory channel since i love ancient aliens. and discovery does suck dick when theres no street outlaws

I agree. Discovery and TLC have strayed away from what they were originally trying to accomplish, and that is air documentaries and fascinating shows to educate its viewers. Any kind of shit like Swamp people should stay on TLC. I do like Gold Rush though.... That's a good fucking show.

I can't speak on behalf of History 2, since I don't have it. But I'm just tired of all of these reality TV shows, this is why there are channels like TLC, A&E, E!, VH1, and MTV. Discovery should just handle Viacom all of the reality TV shows, then go back to their OG shit, merge the Science Channel to a different channel so I don't have to pay extra, and then bring back a lot of documentaries on various historical figures, events, and empires and I'll be happy.
