What Would You Like To See In Elite?
I'm asking this here and not in elite just so that for users who currently do not have an elite subscription may request some things or ask for some things that they'd like so they have a reason to buy elite. Also why I'm asking is because as of this moment: Elite is really only necessary if you have a PS3 on Custom Firmware. So I'm asking all of NGU to give me and the rest of my team ideas on what we could do to make Elite a better purchase for you guys. If you have an idea just post it below and I will give these ideas to Tustin, Taylor, Snay and the rest of the members in the Gaming Squad. tl;dr WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE IN ELITE BESIDES MODDING TOOLS
1) It needs to be a lot more active to be worth it, as currently there either isn't anything good, or there's so much bad stuff you don't even see the good releases
2) Better structure (At the minute it's all in two sections) Maybe add game sections? Not specific games but the category's eg Call Of Duty, GTA, Etc all the big games)
3) custom themes (not just the basic colours, custom back grounds? Customise all features without having to make your own scripts)
4) help section with different sub categories, Programming, PS3 Related, other? Where specific dedicated people (maybe gaming squad) check it frequently to help, as well as other elite members too... (for example if I need help with something I wouldn't go to questions section because 99% of people in the section wouldn't even know what I'm asking :|)
5) Rewards, and I know NGU will lose out on money, but it will also draw in people to use Elite, get rid of stuff like Free xploder thing as that's a waste of money :|. Maybe even non-cost rewards such as Custom Username background if you do x y z, or Custom user title image if you get so many xyz etc
6) Hosting tutorials for multiple gets to watch eg love streaming, (maybe GS or verified people). As they program they can go through each part
I know I've suggested these before but things in elite need to change, because it's shit. I bet 90% of people that buy elite, but it for a coloured name, or to sell services... :|

As Beach has said, people really buy Elite for the colored names and to sell. There's so many free tools, that the exclusive ones just don't cut it. The only enlightening thing Elite had on me was info about Fappening/Snappening. Now, I see many users, even some nons, going around with html usertitles. Now, when you ask a staffmember for one, they talk about equality shit and that they're not allowed to give them to anyone, because they cause "trouble". If that were true, why do people like You must login or register to view this content. have it? If it's about equality, take the html usertitles away from all non-staff.
So, yes, the Elite forums do need to be more active, but consider that most users rather release their tools, and other resources, to the general public. Besides, some tools in Elite get cracked and leaked to other forums anyway. We're paying for this membership, so why can we get colored names, but not custom titles? If I understand Beach correctly, I think by theme, he means theme of the site? Correct me if I'm wrong. Now, I'd love to see more themes instead of just this. A Christmas theme, a videogame theme, etc. Maybe there's less Elite, because people aren't getting what they're paying for. The only reason I buy Elite is for the colored name. I don't sell services. I don't release any guides or folders in Elite forums. I don't use xploder. But people do the same, and once they realize there's really nothing to gain from Elite besides helping Outside pay for the site, they're less likely to buy Elite again. I'll always buy Elite, but only for the colored name. Yes, I pay $4 every month for a username. Pretty sad, no?
