(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I randomly had this thought come across my head. I think it would be pretty kick ass if they made Call of Duty in a MMORPG form.

What do you guys have to say about it?

How is COD not a MMORPG?

Lots of 12 year olds spending their parents money role playing as something they're not online. Sounds pretty MMORPG to me.

To make this discussion better, another question. What if your favorite game was a VRMMORPG ( Visual Reality MMORPG )?

ABORT! ABORT! ABORT! Wouldn't try it, buy it, or recommend it. I personally haven't played it but from what I heard people say it's a hit or a miss really.

When it comes to video games most games borrow from other genres the lines have started to blur.
Call of duty has taken on many concepts from other genres borrowing ideas from MMO RPGs.

Examples
Level up system was taken from MMOs and RPGs.
Being able to change how you look again that an idea from RPGs. Massive online worlds simply online play
Level up gives you new gear
Gated gear
Clan support
Player versus player with player vs environment
Lone hero must save the world

RPG element of Call of duty is rather weak given how the lore does not impact the game apart from the technology being used. Combat does borrow from RPGs just lacking a narrative. MMO side of things must games can fall under that genre now.

It's MMOesk. If anything it's really an ARPG,
