(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a chocolate Labrador puppy and he never every stops biting/mouthing I've been searching all over the internet and tried as many tips as possible. I'm pretty much ready to smack him when he's biting (Roll of newspaper to shock him). It dosen't bother me when hes biting me, but I don't want him to bite people when hes older, hes 13 weeks old today.

Here's a couple of pictures:

He's a little bugger and he was pretty young when them pictures were taken (Just got him) he's both his jabs etc, and we take him for walks more then enough times.

IM NOT CHOPPING HIS TESTICLES OFF!!!

well if you did neuter him it would diffinetly slow him down or you could give him peanut butter everytime he bites that'll teach him.

AND NEUTER IT

the world does not need anymore dogs, go to your local rescue shelter, there are too many puppies for not enough owners.

Ok, well i love animals. Truly as hard as it may be to come to terms with, your doing him a favour if you "chop his testicals off". While i dont remember the exact figures, hundreds of dogs, even thousands can be bred by your one dog (obviously not just by him, but by his puppies, his puppies puppies etc. etc.) . The majority of which are likely to end up in shelters and then obviously you know what comes after shelters (euthanasia :() . However more relevant to you, the odds are he would stop biting you. Or at least he would calm down a lot. Another cause could be that he isnt getting enough exercise, if he isnt tired and isnt get the exercise he needs, he's gonna put that energy into other things. Of course disregarding all that above it could just be a thing he does as a puppy going into adulthood, when i had a lab when i was a kid it chewed everything as a puppy, but she grew out of it. Maybe yours will do the same.

Ok chopping his testicles off has nothing to do with it. That might be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. Your dog is teething almost like a child. Buy him a bone..not a raw hide or a chew toy but a bone. He needs to have something solid to bite on. Hes not biting he's testing his mouth out and exploring things. All dogs do it. I have had over 50 dogs in my life, as we used to train them when I was a kid, and the nuts have absolutely nada to do with it. If he tries to mouth your hand you make him sit and don't let him up for 2 minutes. He will learn. All he is doing is learning, it is your responsability to teach him. He's just a dog.

My sister just got 2 chihuahua's and one of them always bite when you try to pet them, not like a hard bite, but a play bite. But I think they will just grow out of it.

At least I can fight
I agree with battman411. The dog is still young and it is teething. When my dog was younger he used to chew the bottow of the chairs in my kitchen. the bone is definately key or just a bunch of chew toys. he will grow out of it soon it will not stick with him as he gets older. btw unless your planning on letting your dog mate with another dog then get it neudard.
