Pc was up the whole time...so that's nice.

Sounds like they are a bunch of 18-24year olds max still living in their parents basements doing this for their own personal pleasure yet when it comes to questions and reasons they are far too stupid to even come up with an excuse to why they did this. The guy on the radio was obviously insulting them in many ways. It would have been easy for them to actually back their actions up.

I find it funny how they did it to prove the security was inadequate.
Nobody bothers to shut down online gaming services like PSN or XBL. Sure, it's happened before, Anonymous have done it, but it's not something that happens every fucking week.
The thing I find hilarious about this, is that they did it to prove the security was shit, when they were the only people doing it.

They're only doing this for attention. They give "noble" reasons to justify what they do. If you have been following their twitter feed, than you would understand. I wish I had taken screen shots of this but let me summarize what happened.

First tweet was something along the lines of "PSN #OFFLINE. If you want it back up, get me to 240k followers"

*He hits 240k in about 15 mins after that tweet.

Second tweet "240k :O"

Now he deleted the first tweet down to "PSN #OFFLINE." and completely deleted the second tweet.
His third one read "XBOX LIVE AND PSN WILL BE DOWN UNTIL TONIGHT UNLESS WE HIT 300K. RT AND FAV"

Which as of my typing this. He has since deleted that tweet and is now talking about, well, other things.
