Post: Netflix to ban VPN Users

Read this and thought it was very interesting.
I am aware that many users on NGU use Netflix, myself included. I pay for the service but I know a lot of people have gotten free accounts from this website. Well today, Slasher posted an article conforming that Netflix will be shutting out members who use a VPN or custom DNS settings to bypass the website's regional lock.
I am a member of Netflix from the UK who uses a VPN (Virtual Private Network) in order to gain access to the USA's version of the application. And I am really disappointed by the claims that Netflix will now be instantly banning members who use VPN's and so on.
According to Netflix they have not changed their policies on VPN's but according to multiple VPN services have noted a severe increase in their members who cannot access Netflix, or have many issues while using Netflix.
Anyways, what do you guys as a community think about this?

And you think Hulu is any different how? When it comes to region locks and general bullshit hulu is already the worst. If this is actually true (this is actually the first I have heard of this) then I would expect any streaming site like net flix will follow suit.

Piracy is only rampant where there is a distribution issue ie hbo shows, netflix shows, ppv sports
