But But Bu... Its just too nice

Jeff and I had one of our early dates here at Comet Pizza and Ping Pong and this place is pretty cool in my book. It has pretty good pizza and ping pong tables in the back. It was a cold rainy night despite the fact that it is almost May! Although I was stuck in traffic for no particular reason I finally made it about 30 minutes after everyone else. We had some familiar faces and some new people join us this evening.

Being late also meant I missed getting pics of the different pizzas everyone ordered. One of the members ordered a white garlic pizza which looked really good. Jeff had the Stanely which consisted of fennel sausage, mozzarella, roasted peppers and comet sauce. He said it was really good. The new members of our group who were from Cali and Texas ordered the Time Out. It has Stan’s Local Merguez Sausage, parsley,melted onions, Potato, garlic, Gorgonzola. They said it was really good. Potatoes on pizza? Okay! I had pepperoni. I know I need to branch out but I have to make a comparison to figure out which ones I like best. This one was pretty good. We couldn’t decide on dessert so we went over to Politics & Prose but we were too late. They were completely out of dessert. No biggie. Jeff and I had coffee and headed home for the evening.

I’m not sure how to categorize Comet’s pizza. It’s crispy like NY style. It has a wood oven like Neopolitan style bit it’s neither style. How about we just say it was delicious!
