United kingdom goes to the polls for local elections and general election.

Voting starts May 7th 2015 and ends late that night.

Need to be 18 or older along with registered to vote.
So lets discuss who you're going to vote for and why? What policy draws you to that party? Why are you not voting?

BBC have a nice little guide on policy for each party and anything else you want to know. You must login or register to view this content.

Myself I plan on voting for the Green party to become my local MP and Labour for the local councillors.

Green party is due to their fiscal policy aka spending along with their view on the world

Always voted this time around I taken my time to decide who to vote for.

Not a member of a party but thinking about joining the local Labour group Smile

Willing to talk about my choice some more if you want, final thing keep every post civil.

lol love it :p
Any reason why? Little curious on the policy or reason which draw you to UKIP

Really? So many thing with that quote could be said, really bad argument to comment against Fascist ideologies which you disagrees with, both Communists could use it against Fascists and Fascists could use it against Communists, ect.

So if the greens, red inside came to power, then my argument would be, oh they will start another Holodomor (Russian holocaust again Ukrainians, minimum 10 million starved ect to death) , because history says so, well they won't.'

- As always, winners write history. If Germany won, we would hear about Holodomor instead of the Holocaust.

I will finish mine off with this, which is a better argument which explains, in short, what I stand for:

"The fate of nations is intimately bound up with their powers of reproduction. All nations and all empires first felt decadence gnawing at them when their birth rate fell off."
- Benito Mussolini

Just woke up been following it, good to see conservatives doing well, I'm glad we'll have them again and not Labour. UKIP taken a lot of the votes but alas not many seats to show for it, just waiting for Thanet South now.

3 million votes 2 seats ukip, 1 million green one seat. 10 million 300 tory seats. 1.5 million 56 seats to snp. 8 million 228 labour. This may be the result of a broken voting system over anything else. Not sure what to think.

Yeah, though I'm pretty happy with a conservative majority. Much better than Labour, and I'm glad Miliband is stepping down too. Shame about Farage but oh well, he said himself with nearly 4millon votes and only getting ones seat just shows how broken it really is. Perhaps it's time to bring in PR instead and do away with FPTP, though we'd never see a majority again.

Unhappy at the result mainly due to the pandora box which is now open and no clear answer on so many issues. [Let me know if you want a list]
Bank of England now faced with a major headache.

Farage is going to come back Winky Winky

Lord Ashcoft has already said royal commision is now required on voting reform. Worry is any changes are made to help the tory party over make it fairer. Rather see the death of a majority and make it so the best ideas come forward over letting parties force anything ahead.

Although i have voted UKIP I Personally say fuck all the party's most users on this site are probably 13-25 and the 13-21 year olds really do hold our future and nothing is mentioned by most parties about helping the youth into work? sorting the youth out with proper pay instead of waiting till 21 just to receive minimum wage? It's pretty pathetic it's good to see so many various sided people on here though, Also i realize that the Media are a major influence on many people and being the media they can be as biased as they like and still get away with it cause of their income.
Personally i think we should have an option where it says "None of the above" but then you must pick the person you would have voted for then base it off that. E.G If 80% of Britain voted for None of the above but their secondary was UKIP then UKIP Wins, Also i think the votes are rigged as fuck I Know over 100 people who voted UKIP in my area and if you look at the voting map it says NO person in my area voted UKIP...
Alrighty then...

I agree, I fear the first thing I fear the conservatives are going to push through will be the Snoopers Charter, then it will just be a slippery slope to more internet censorships and privacy invasion by the government. That is my biggest concern with them and the main reason I dislike David Cameron, because when it comes to digital legislation, he just has no idea, he's completely out of touch.

We don't have a none of the above, but spoiled votes are counted, so if it's worth voting even if you just spoil your vote.
