United kingdom goes to the polls for local elections and general election.

Voting starts May 7th 2015 and ends late that night.

Need to be 18 or older along with registered to vote.
So lets discuss who you're going to vote for and why? What policy draws you to that party? Why are you not voting?

BBC have a nice little guide on policy for each party and anything else you want to know. You must login or register to view this content.

Myself I plan on voting for the Green party to become my local MP and Labour for the local councillors.

Green party is due to their fiscal policy aka spending along with their view on the world

Always voted this time around I taken my time to decide who to vote for.

Not a member of a party but thinking about joining the local Labour group Smile

Willing to talk about my choice some more if you want, final thing keep every post civil.

Probably UKIP, from what I've seen of Nigel Farage in the debates on TV, I like him as a person for his attitude and how he calls out the other politicians in the debates and doesn't let them just avoid points, if he's asked a question he'll answer it, not just dance around it to avoid offending people. Also all of the things he wants to do make sense and I can't fault him, points style immigration system makes sense, let us choose the best to come to the UK, stopping health tourism on the NHS is another thing that makes sense, it should be for British people only, if you come from abroad and need it you should have health insurance to use it I like how he's also mentioned about sorting out the equality between the rest of the UK and Scotland where up there they get free prescriptions and no tuition fees while the rest of us have to pay.

Here's a highlight of some of the stuff he has to say.

I should probably add that what I'm really most concerned about personally and what would win my vote would be any parties talking just about protecting personal freedoms and stopping government spying, the only one that has actually mentioned anything to do with the Snowden leaks and the spying GCHQ has done is the Pirate Party, so I would vote for them, but there's no candidate in my area so it's a pick between the others.

My second choice would be conservative, if they get in we get a referendum on being in the EU. Though I don't like David Cameron and I think some of the things he's done in his term were fucking stupid.

I wouldn't vote Labour as I can't stand Ed Miliband, the though of this idiot being PM scares me, I can't take the party seriously with him as the leader, also even though they mentioned reducing tuition fees, I don't believe them, it just sounds like a last minute attempt to grab some extra votes.

Also if anyone has some highlights from the other party leaders and the reason you're voting for them, I'd love to see them, might even make me change my mind.

I do not live in the UK. But I have seen some speeches and so on about topics relating to social and economic issues regarding the EU and immigration in general.

But if I did indeed live in the UK, I would vote on UKIP.
Based on their stance against the power grib, or influence the EU has over the UK and its policies based on immigration, plus other internal issues such as foreign cultural/religious domination, mainly the Islamisation and cultural-Marxistic influence (forcing of LGBT rights and multiethnic/diversity propaganda/promotion (such as ads getting Muslims and colored people into the army, rainbow family, negroid music, gay marriage ect (btw I'm Atheist, so it's not because of religion I am against gay marriage) where I see some sanity in fighting against it, in my view of course, but in that area it doesn't satisfy me.

Based on my own personal political standpoint, UKIP is miles away from me, since I'm a National Socialist. But that's the closest party I can get to, if I should cast a vote on a significantly major party where I see a vote wouldn't be wasted where I see myself the most in. But all in all, I dislike UKIP.

- Based on my own personal political standpoint I'd advice you not to question me, as it would be a waste of time and I probably wouldn't post a reply to you.

Thank you Smile

I don't trust Nigel Farage snake oil salesman.
Some of his common sense ideas make no sense and in practise would hurt us.

Points style immigration system we already have one Winky Winky You must login or register to view this content. , results are unknown if it worked but some are reporting the system is causing problems/issues in the labour market. Current immigration system is a mess and overcomplex with a massive backlog.
Still think we should have a more open simple system along with keeping better track of who here.
If you want to hear my ideas let me know, system does need to be fixed but should not repeat the same mistakes.

Health tourism - Not a big problem only costing the NHS 200 million a year You must login or register to view this content.
NHS problems right now are caused by the current spending debate with parties unwilling to send more money to the NHS and wasting millions changing the shape of the NHS nobody wanted.

Better ways of sorting out equality between England and Scotland, UKIP current policy runs the risk of turning the UK into the eurozone. UK is unequal and must have fiscal transfers along with other measures lacking in the eurozone. Nothing sure of nationalism claiming to be for the common good.

Most of the problems right now are caused by shorted sighted policy not thinking or planning ahead correctly. NHS is caused by the current fiscal policy of the main parties created in 2010.
Short term thinking needs to die time for long term answers. Personal freedoms Green party/Lib Dems have spoken about this issue, not sure on the UKIP policy.
As for referendum don't think we should have one but I do agree we need to reform the EU. Curious why you want a referendum and what sort of reform.

I like Ed Miliband.

Immigration is a non issue for me.
Looking at history you see that immigration has helped shape the UK, back when we had a empire due to immigration was able to transfer a range of cultures around the world. Most nations speak the English language, use the same legal system or have used elements of the UK.
English language is based on a series of languages melting together to help create English as we know it.

Irrational fear of immigration is driven by the idea that it helps in destroying culture and identity fuel is the unknown something humans by nature fear.
Reality it helps to create something new and allow us to grow.

Historical stand point multiethnic/diversity is nothing new long periods in which two different cultures have been side by side for some time living together in peace. Middle east is a great obvious example melting pot of cultures with hundreds of years of peace between them before one side wanted to take it all.
Only when one side decided it wanted to take over did it cause tension between groups. Middle east Christians wanted the holy land and right now we have two groups of Isalm fighting each other.

LGBT rights are nothing new before Christians took hold rather common in the world with many ancient civilizations allowing it. Christians decided to ban it and we have kept with the idea.
religion

People seek to avoid cultural/religious domination but want policy which does just that so they can keep their identity clean. Only problem is they have decided to be ignorant to history and how we got here to start with.
Find the whole line of thinking rather worrying and silly.

As for the EU that does need some real reform and UK needs to keep it influence.

Not going to argue this as I have done many times on the internet, so I get tired of repeating myself, as it would be a waste of time talking with an extremist on the opposite side, but I will just reply with this.
But this multiculturalism will lead to the native English people, or all Europeans in that matter well end up being a minority in their own country, while the Muslim population grows. Which means your little rainbow socialist dream will crash into Sharia. Immigration is a huge charge on the society, I know you want to see your own people go extinct and keep pushing this capitalist idea of immigration, cheap labor, less jobs to the native meanwhile the left as you, want to "enrich" your country so it has fewer people of European descent, whites. This will result in Europe, or UK for that matter will become a third world country in a few decades, of course if you follow the statistic, but thankfully nothing is statistic, so I hope I might see a full blown Fascist Europe someday (which is possible, unlike the past, when all European nations share the same problems this time, not only in immigration and multiculture).

But I strongly believe, seen as the protests from groups/organisation like, all the way from "EDL, Britian First, to National Front, National Action and New British Union" as an example on the right (Fascism and National Socialism is indeed third position, but somehow it's still is called "far right", which I see more as extreme capitalism" then to the left as "Anti-Fascist action and other pro-multicultural, anti-white organisations" on the left then we have Islamic movements. - This just shows, that one day, it will all explode. How? The future will show, but it is getting stronger and stronger, all sides are and so the tension between races and Muslims against non-Muslims.

This will end up in a major civil war, not only the UK, but the whole of Europe will go into a religious/race war. I have already chosen my stand, I stand with my people, I stand with Europe. I am third position, Fascist or a Nazi, call me what you want. but a traitor to my own people I will never be.

ALSO, the gay part, I believe that gay/lgbt propaganda should not be displayed on any media. The society should be based on a productive view, in that sense, a man and women. Why? Because to keep the Nation alive we need to produce newer generations, understandable right? Yes, but still I know straight people won't turn gay, as it isn't a choice. But gays is a tiny minority of all societies, so instead of them introducing us to their 'culture' we should ignore their made up fancy culture and let them join our flow, which is healthier for our society and identity. Probably also for them, as they don't have the need to shout "I'm gay" or look at me when they walk in the streets, with some fancy stuff on, because that's how the gays/homosexuals have learned from this society and media, to dress and behave like. Homosexuals should behave like the majority, what they do at home, no one should have a say in. When in rome, do as romans do.

I hope you can 'tolerate' my view. I know you are on the left/far left, so I don't expect you to agree or change path, so in the end, we both waste our time, when we comment who have the 'right' or 'correct opinion. There are no 'correct' opinion or view, it's politics. Winky Winky

I have nothing more to say, I believe I have said, in short, what I had to say.
I will leave this thread, just lurk on other comments, I don't want to start a big thing or a party in this thread. I am mainly on this forum for the modding part.
