Even though he's from the United Kingdom, he can still enlist into the United States Armed Forces. He just has to apply for a green card.
OP, personally, I would become a Marine. I just feel that the Army isn't the same as it used to be. Senior leadership just isn't there for me. What attracted me to the Marine Corps was the tradition, and the legacy of the Corps. Come 10 November, our Marine Corps will be celebrating 240 years of service to our great nation. Know that when you become a Marine, you'll be joining a brotherhood, and the worlds finest fighting force.
Assuming you're thinking about the United States Marine Corps over the Royal Marines. :p
