I never took any real notice, since like someone else, i have my console tethered by wifi to 3G/4G connection via a mobile phone.
Data transfer levels, typical per month, between console use and some PC use (when i need to use my fast broadband for upload high bandwidth streaming dedicated), easily exceed 40Gb.
Thankfully, it never costs more than £23 per month regardless, since i'm still using the defunct (but for existing contracts, still in service) One Plan on Three Network, where there was literally no defined cap on bandwidth or transfer (bandwidth was merely dependent on your service quality at your local) and for those of us who maintain it (and by maintaining it, royally p*ss off the SP), nothing has changed.
But in many cases, upstream and downstream is never poor or unfit for purpose, and that quite frankly is all i expect for the money. But in fairness, i am a technical radio user/op/developer, so i'm kinda more realistic in my expectations of a radio based transfer than most domestic users.
