Acknowledging our inherent bias that,:

  1. We direct credibility to something we want to believe, in this case, predicting major events.

and, under the assumption that,:

  1. The timestamps and information displayed cannot be manipulated.

I have a few theories:

  1. He has inside information, but according to my knowledge: plane crashes, train derailments, shootings, are not predetermined. Evidence to support this theory: debunked.
  2. He is somehow manipulating the timestamps and information displayed. Evidence to support this theory: his facebook username is: 'hacker717'. Inconclusive.
  3. He is predicting random events, deleting the wrong predictions, and keeping the right ones. Evidence to support this theory: none, and I have personally been tracking his posts/tweets and I have not seen any deletion.
  4. He is obtaining information faster than any news outlet can publish, though I find unlikely, because of some incidents regarding Wikipedia as proof. Wikipedia provides accurate dates with accordance to major events. Evidence to support this theory: none.

What are your theories? And, if you able to provide any evidence to support my theories above, feel free to share.

Yes, I've thought of that, but I believe Facebook marks posts that do that. If that's not the case - let me know.

I just changed the date and couldn't see a difference in the post, I may be wrong and may have missed something that tells you the real date or that the date has been edited but I personally didn't see it.

Also, I have been tracking his posts - and, I haven't noticed any discrepancies. If he was changing dates, I, and the other multitude of people would have noticed.

I got a guy that will give me odds on anything, I might take a punt.

Part of me feels awkward about potentially profiting of misery and suffering but I wouldn't be different from any large corporate machine. I wonder what effect a crash has on the global markets.

Probably not the post to have quoted. They have been right often enough for some one to profit off of the predictions..

I actually chased the story up yesterday and it would appear they have a pretty good strike rate.
