Ireland gay marriage referendum 62% say yes!

Ireland is set to update the legal defintion of marriage to include same sex unions.
Republic of Ireland asked the population to go to the polls to vote over the issue being gay was only made legal 20 years ago. History has been made within a short period of time for a deeply catholic nation with many anti LGBT laws being over turned over the past 20 years but more work to be done for the T part.
Irish parliament is expected to vote into law the measure within months.

Vote brings the nation in line with England, Wales and Scotland gay marriage is banned next door in Northern Ireland.
Northern Ireland is part of the UK which has banned gay marriage but allowed same sex unions [Could be wrong]

Ireland is the first and only nation to call a referendum on the issue.
Does require some changes to constitution.

Results
62% Yes
38% No

Certain areas voted 60% to 70% but one or two was almost equal just passing the measure at 50%.

Personally, I don't see why people still feel the need to judge other people's sexual life. If homosexuals wan't to marry each other, they should be able to.
