(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was reading the staff questions thread and I saw that quite a few staff were demoted then promoted. Sometimes quite a few times hahaha. I was wondering what are the grounds for being demoted? Or why do they get demoted?

The way I hear it, some staffmembers have been known to rep abuse, sell cids (Rev), leak stuff outside of the staff forums, as well as going against the forum rules. :/

You know how many staff members have done this for years and are still where they are now.. Or higher?

The good they do outweigh the bad. :/ People published evidence that Rev was selling banned CIDs on Skype, but seeing as how it wasn't on site, no action was taken. :/ Usually, when a staff gets demoted, not much is told about the how or why's of it.

Well it's obviously a mix of reasons but the most common would be inactivity, leaking, not doing a lot, no longer needed & power abuse.

I don't really think of it like that, it's a privilege. I think it's somewhat a reward for their behavior, it's not like you just join the site and get the position. Yeah, that was in my past. I'm not so sure about it anymore, regardless if i did it would take ages :p I wasn't talking about every staff member just a couple that I've heard from, so :rolleyes:



I could understand that since it was off the site but if it was me being scammed Id be pissed. As far as good vs bad it really depends what they've done for it to be considered what it is.

Lack of Moderation/Activity
Leaking Staff Content
Power Abuse
Too many staff/Not needed

Those are the usual demotion reasons.

Yeah, staff position is seen as a reward. Sure, some people fanboy them to death (Look at all the ResistThe.... out there, or SonOfA....), but I see it as something of honor, as it means the person has worked really hard, and is acknowledged by the administration as truly beneficial to those sections they are assigned to. :/
