The term PC got really convoluted circa early 1990s, by definition it means personal computer. At one point, the Apple II, and Apple IIgs were considered PCs. However, the term PC got lost in the nuances of the 21st century.

I remember hearing that phrase as well. I briefly talked to my father about this the other day, apparently the Commodore PET was one of the first computer brands to use the phrase personal computer. But IBM coined the term when they released their computers, or at least the acronym.
