Released back in 1987, almost 30 years ago, the Ferrari F40 is still considered to be one of the greatest supercars of all time. It was the last car that Enzo Ferrari himself personally approved, and Lego has finally immortalized it in plastic bricks with its latest Creator model.

The $90, 1158-piece set will be available starting August 1, but Lego VIP members can can actually order one a few weeks earlier starting July 15. Who wouldn’t want to add this to their collection as soon as possible?

The model includes working doors, a hood that opens and closes revealing the car’s trunk up front, pop-up headlights, and a rear gate that lifts open to reveal the car’s engine. And not only does the model include a detailed replica of the Ferrari F40’s twin turbo-charged, 2.9-liter, 478 horsepower V8 engine, it’s actually removable so you can marvel at all of its beauty outside the car.

I used to own so much Lego when I was young, literally boxes full of the stuff.

I'm a car guy and one car I freaking love is the F40. Lego is releasing the Lego model above and I plan on buying it (price is high but so worth it).

So, do you own any Lego models? If so what ones?

I still own a lot of lego, that was pretty much my favourite play thing from my childhood and even today I could still play with it and enjoy it, guess I'm just waiting until I have kids one day and can play with it with them like my father did with me.

Thats one massive bonus of keeping toys you had during your childhood. You get to play with them again and enjoy it with your children.
