Hi NGU

I've recently been permanently limited from Paypal due to a breach in their TOS.
I'm just wondering if any of you have ever encountered problems with the service and I'll be interested to hear your stories.

Before suggesting "hey joker, just make a new account Cheesy " - I have made 2 new accounts, and both got limited within an hour also. I think they blacklist IPs or something.

Just wondering if there is anyway around this issue?

I have a business account on Paypal and have tried emailing and tweeting their support but still haven't had any reply.

It's been almost 4 months now and still nothing.

Joke of a company.

I don't like Paypal. They're absolutely retarded. It's been awhile since I've used it, so I can't remember exactly what happened in my situation. But if my memory serves me correctly, they wanted me to verify who I was in order to take money from my bank account, and transfer it to my PayPal balance. They needed proof of identity and proof of address, so I obliged. I scanned my drivers license and a bank statement. Granted I don't know why that can't use the address on my drivers license, seeing how you have to update that immediately when you move elsewhere. Anyway, they accepted my drivers licenses as a proof of identity but wouldn't accept my bank statement for proof of address. I was told I needed to provide them with a bill, like a utility or cell phone bill. Neither of which I get because I live with my parents like most millennials. I never really liked Paypal because they've screwed me over once before, but the shenanigans I went through was enough for me to stop using their service completely.

I'd also like to thank the Patriot Act for being a contributing reason as to why Paypal is absolute shit. Thanks Bush, and thanks Obama for perpetuating this bullshit.

Shit man, that's really bad! I've never heard of someone losing that much. The most I've ever lost on Paypal is €200.

While I personally have not had any problems, I know loads of people who have had issues with them. They're almost a monopoly at this point, which isn't good. We only use PayPal here at NGU but I wish we had another solution.

Yeah, it's frustrating! That company has hundreds of millions of dollars "frozen" in limited Paypal accounts.
It's a joke.

What makes it worse, there are literally no Paypal alternatives that offer as good a service. Skrill, 2Checkout, Amazon Payments, Google Wallet, Authorize.Net, WePay, Dwolla, Stripe ect. The list goes on, yet none are worthy Paypal competitors.

Heck, at this stage I'd set up my own payment gateway company called "PlayPal.com" Cool Troll

I absolutely agree! I've had 4 Paypal accounts. 2 times I breached their TOS (Fake name for the first breach and selling GTA Recovery services for the second). The other 2 limitations were for absolutely no reason.
