Naturally, humans are afraid of death so many have convinced themselves and their loved ones that there is something more after their death on Earth. I choose to not lie to myself like that but hell, to each his own.
I'm not afraid of death but I am scared of dying, my biggest fear is that I will end up spending the last weeks / months of my life in a clinical sterile hospital ward hooked up to numerous machines in an unfamiliar place surrounded by doctors and other patients. I don't want that at all. When I die I want it to be on my terms, I want it to be in my home and I want to die peacefully just taking a slightly higher dosage of a drug that puts me to sleep and helps me pass away easily, I never want to be in the state that both of my grandparents were in on their deathbeds.

What do I think death is like? Well, what was it like before you were born? You just cease to exist. It's like a computer that dies. All your thoughts/memories etc are gone forever and you're dead and you dont even know it.
wow this could turn into a controversial subject lol ummm not scared of death, just scared of being burnt to death or drowning! The only thing that carry s on after you die is your hair and nails grow for a bit
I'd like to think that there is an afterlife but science just makes it hard to believe. I'm not scared of dying because it's going to happen whether you want it to or not.
