(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello there, first of all I am 16 years of age.

About four months ago I took a pre workout drink for the gym, I'm sure this drink had a lot of caffeine in it as they usually do, after 10minutes of finishing the drink I started having really rapid heartbeat.

Unfortunately I mistook the event as something little and nothing to worry about and I moved on.... after another month passed ( 3 months from now ) the same thing happened again but a little bit stronger. Until now I knew i might have experienced You must login or register to view this content..

When this thing (tachycardia) would happen I would experience light headedness/ dizziness and then the rapid heartbeat would occur only for about two minutes to three or so, I could literally feel my heart coming out of my chest.

Through these 3 aganising months when the event happened I threw all my supplements away and quit the gym for good, the only problem that I faced after the event was that I started having Panic/Anxiety attacks every single day fearing for my own death. I have always been an anxious person.

I started going to the hospital ( I went 3 times ) and to a heart doctor ( 2times ) to see if everything within me was alright. I had my blood pressure/ sugar and normal blood checked also an EKG/ECG test and he checked my ventricles and everything turned out competley normal.
Today, I feel that my anxiety and symptoms have healed slightly and my worrying has decreased.

The main question I want to know is will I have a early grave because of had happend? Or am I worrying to much for nothing?

Please take this seriously, we're all humans and we all should have respect for one another.

*i know none of you are doctors unless you are but id like to know your perspective on my situation.

I'm a god.
I do the exact same thing quite a bit, but I tell myself I'm fine. I have social anxiety, it's hard for me to talk to people I don't know in person. If it's on the phone, etc. I'm fine with it. As Bean said, you'll be fine. Just go get a check up regularly, funny me saying that as I haven't been to the doctor in years lol.

Here's the dealio, you're 16 years old. Why are you taking a pre-workout? Have you experienced any form of anxiety before going to the gym? If not you're just freaking out over nothing, and if you were having a heart attack you'd know it because you'd experience pain in your arm as well. Back to my thesis, you are 16 years old, young and full of energy. You don't need a pre-workout. There's more than caffeine in pre-workout, there's literally a fuck ton more stimulants. I guarantee if you look at the ingredients you'll see synephrine/bitter orange. You combine that, with caffeine, and whatever else there is in most pre-workouts you're going to experience a caffeine rush like no other and that includes increased blood pressure as your heart starts pumping like a mad man.

Just stick with the basics of proper nutrition. Eat right, and you'll be golden. If you want to take some supplements, stick with the basics there as well. Whey protein, creatine, omega-3 fish oil, and possibly beta-alanine later on. Be warned though, if you've already taken a pre-workout then you should be familiar with the burning/tingling sensation of beta-alanine.

I wouldn't say that's why. Some people just don't understand placebo and think setting stimmed out is the way to hit the weights. When you're that young there should be absolutely no reason to use stims. Personally, I use pre-workout because I'm addicted to stims and can't function for shit without them. Plus the pump isn't that great from most pre-workouts because they're so low in beta-alanine.

Yeah if you got anxiety, I'd definitely recommend staying away from any stimulants. That includes sodas, energy drinks, anything with caffeine. Including cocaine. It's just going to exacerbate your anxiety, which is going to scare you out of the gym. If you avoid that, you'll be golden and getting big. :y:

I enjoy the gym and hanging out with friends also. I'm very confident and social, which is ironic that I suffer panic attacks.

I used to think there was something wrong with my heart. Randomly It would start pumping out of control and I'd feel like I was having a heart attack or something. I went to hospital to get checked out and like your case, all came back clear. However this continued to happen.

It turns out all this time I was just suffering from Panic Attacks. I still have them occasionally but I've been able to control them recently.

My point is, I always thought there was something wrong with me. It turns out I'm just a bad hypochondriac with anxiety issues.

I'm not a doctor, but your situation sounds like anxiety issues and not health problems. This tachycardia sounds like the symptoms of a Panic Attack.

If you've been to the doctor and they've given you the all clear, you're okay man! Smile Just need to work on your anxiety

I don't believe my tachycardia was caused because of my anxiety but from the stimulant in the drink, but now that ive left all that im much better all im left with now is just really bad anxiety.. but ay whatever ill be alright i guess...
