(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello there, first of all I am 16 years of age.

About four months ago I took a pre workout drink for the gym, I'm sure this drink had a lot of caffeine in it as they usually do, after 10minutes of finishing the drink I started having really rapid heartbeat.

Unfortunately I mistook the event as something little and nothing to worry about and I moved on.... after another month passed ( 3 months from now ) the same thing happened again but a little bit stronger. Until now I knew i might have experienced You must login or register to view this content..

When this thing (tachycardia) would happen I would experience light headedness/ dizziness and then the rapid heartbeat would occur only for about two minutes to three or so, I could literally feel my heart coming out of my chest.

Through these 3 aganising months when the event happened I threw all my supplements away and quit the gym for good, the only problem that I faced after the event was that I started having Panic/Anxiety attacks every single day fearing for my own death. I have always been an anxious person.

I started going to the hospital ( I went 3 times ) and to a heart doctor ( 2times ) to see if everything within me was alright. I had my blood pressure/ sugar and normal blood checked also an EKG/ECG test and he checked my ventricles and everything turned out competley normal.
Today, I feel that my anxiety and symptoms have healed slightly and my worrying has decreased.

The main question I want to know is will I have a early grave because of had happend? Or am I worrying to much for nothing?

Please take this seriously, we're all humans and we all should have respect for one another.

*i know none of you are doctors unless you are but id like to know your perspective on my situation.

Well these are very similar to something called Pre-Catch syndrome which is completely normal in teens. Caused by a hormone in balancing which will soon go away as you get older. Smile

I've experienced chest pains, hyperventilation, headaches and more due to anxiety. I'm not too keen I had Pre-Catch. Pre-Catch is mainly sharp pains in your chest when you inhale not rapid heartbeats which I had at resting point, but I only had that because of the caffeine content in the drink.

I just experience lots of anxiety so it's hard to determine whether my situation is normal or not..... My mind is always racing with negative thoughts.

Buts thats a hitchcokian thing the thought is more worrying then the actual scenario. Your 16 dude you will still have a lot of in balance in hormones and stuff is still developing. If your worried still ask to see a doctor again dude.
