When you send as friends and family, you don't pay a fee unless it is out of country I believe. When you send for goods or services, PayPal gets a significant fee for them to keep I believe.

I really dont think thats the difference, as the fee is 0.48$ which i really dont mind also to pay for. Will take me some time in that case to find a seller .

I just remembered. Friends and family doesn't let you dispute on PayPal for Item wasn't as described. It only lets you dispute for Unauthorized Payment which many people still do. With Goods and services, you pay a fee, the seller can see your address and information, but you can dispute for item wasn't as described.

Yeah that makes sense, but really who would dispute 1-10$ o_o

People that scam :p. Trust me, people do it a lot. That is part of the thing with doing PayPal is that they can dispute any payment and you basically stand no chance.

Paypal has certain fees in place for services friends and family no fees are charged. Paypal is a free service after all

Aside from what the other people said also for me not sure if anyone else but when someone would send money as goods and services paypal would hold the money.
