I'm using stick, love the feeling of being more in control of the car although wouldnt mind driving an auto, currently driving a BMW 3 series (2012) which is my sibling's.

I ride a motorcycle so I can't really judge regarding cars.
But I think riding auto doesn't really qualify as actual driving. (if you understand what I'm trying to say)

Everyone can brake and accelerate.
Riding stick atleast requires some "skill" :p

If you learn to drive a manual, you can drive both a manual car AND auto, whereas someone who learns using an auto dosent have a clue when the time comes to drive a manual. This is what I've always been taught anyways :p

That's the semi autos, kind of expensive option for some cars.

With a luxury its defintely better choice to use an auto.

It's always best to start with manual.

And in the UK it's illegal for someone who passed on Auto to drive a manual.

auto, if your racing or driving a turbo the auto keeps you in boost, the powerband on a non turbo car, u can keep both hands on the wheel, its more convenient u never miss a gear

That's true, I have seen car racing, they use semi auto's with paddle shifters over a manual.

Both are gr8 b8.
But, for me personally, It depends on the vehicle and situation.
