I recently replaced a failing d.v.d./c.d. player only to find that it has to be connected to an HDMI port on a t.v. receiver for it to output audio. I don't want to play audio through the t.v., only through my audio system from the two phono sockets on the player.
What I would like to do is trick the player into thinking that a t.v. is connected and has an HDMI port selected as its input.
I hope there might be a simple method, e.g. a jumper on the player's HDMI connector, or if it would need something more complex, such as a data response.
Does anyone know, or know where else I might ask?
you can use converters, eg HDMI to VGA/DVI/AV , just google HDMI converter :p
