I came within feet of Bill deBlasio (Mayor of the City of New York) and the same day also within feet of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. I was marching for a Memorial Day parade i believe, i was in JROTC, this was about a year and a half ago. I also met Hideki Matsui (legendary New York Yankees baseball player). Comment on anyone you met or saw within a close range thats famous Smile

Today Will Be Different
I've met Governor Mike Huckabee at the local air field, we talked about Destin and the area we live in for awhile. He was waiting for the Fox News corporate jet to pick him up for his show. I've also met Governor Rick Scott, I actually have his personal cell phone number. That in it of itself is a long story for another day. I also knew the late Medal of Honor precipitant Colonel Bud Day. One of our local hero's is Danny Wuerffel whom I've met when I played football my freshman year. I also know Akeem Spence and D-Mount (Deiontrez Mount) from high school who are now playing in the NFL.

Unfortunately D-Mount ain't about sharing that NFL money. Sal

Climbing up the ladder
This is gonna sound like a heap of BS but I may as well say it anyways. I was in Hawaii on vacation last year and I went on on a hike on Mt. Diamond Head which is relatively close to Honolulu. When I made it to the top me and my family just hanged around up at the top for a while since it was a beautiful view and had a very nice breeze considering it being 95 degrees that day. As I was about to leave I heard more people coming up the stairs to the top of the mountain (you have to travel through tunnels and stairwells to get to the top since it is too steep). I turned around and saw Dwayne Johnson and his family. I didn't say anything but I just gave him a weird look and he gave me a weird look back so I just walked away back to my family on the other side of the mountain trying not to crap my pants. Nobody believed me and since they were exhausted and going back down the mountain they didn't want to go back up and neither did I since at the time I felt awkward af. Turns out he was there visiting because if you didn't know already, he is Hawaiian and Hawaii is where his family is.

Anyways, moral of the story is if you see anyone famous that you can easily talk to, take the opportunity. I really regret not trying to talk to The Rock. Not many times you get an opportunity to talk to The Rock on top of a mountain over looking Honolulu.

P.S. He is much bigger in real life than on TV.

The Rock is Samoan (mother) and Canadian/Nova Scotia (father). But cool story! Yeah i can imagine his size, 6 foot 4 inch 250+ pound monster! I just looked up Mt. Diamond Head and its beautiful! Must have been a long way up if you had to walk through tunnels and stairs cause its 761 feet tall

I'm miring. I mean, I've had to opportunity to meet some cool people. But definitely no one as cool as Dwayne Johnson, except for maybe Bud Day because of the fact he is a Medal of Honor precipitant.
