Post: Urban Climbing/Exploring

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So recently I've started to do a little bit of Urban Climbing/Urban exploration. I live In Oklahoma, and this weekend I plan on going to Oklahoma City's downtown area. I have a few questions regarding urban exploration and climbing. The tallest building I have climbed so far would be between 100-160 feet.

1. Does anyone know of any good buildings to climb in OKC?
2. Does anyone know of any places to explore in OKC? (drain pipes, abandoned buildings/structures or anything else worth my time)
3. If I get caught climbing illegally/trespassing, what type of trouble would I be in? Would it just be a warning, a fine, or would I get arrested?

I have two reasons for climbing. Photography and enjoyment of heights.

I do a fair bit of Urban exploring, I live in the UK so I cannot suggest places for you.

Regarding getting caught around 90% of the time they will escort or ask you to leave the site it all depends upon where you are going, I once set off a silent alarm in an old hospital and around 15 security guards showed up and caught around 9 of us. There is a very small chance that they may want to fine you but that is quite rare.

I was (still am) a HUGE fan of urban exploration. If there was an abandoned building in my area, I've explored it. But, as you are obviously aware, it comes with risk. Most of the places in my area are high profile, so the risk was higher. I got caught at a place called Buck Hills Inn in the Poconos of PA. It ended up costing me a $400 fine, and a disorderly conduct and defiant trespassing summary offense. But your experience will vary greatly, depending on what the owners/ cops wanna do if they catch you.
