(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If anybody has seen The Martian, they will know it's basically a mix of Cast Away, Gravity, MacGyver, and Guardians of Galaxy, for a mix of different reasons, but mostly: Matt Damon is trapped on Mars, his crew has left him behind without knowing he was alive, he is genius when it comes to solving problems that would make us normal people give up on surviving (making water, growing plants, etc.), and he's always listening to Disco music (similar to the main character in GoG listening to his walkman), respectively. I recently went to see it yesterday in 3D, and was majorly impressed! So many times Matt gets screwed over, yet he keeps prevailing. I've looked around the web, and some people mention inconsistencies with the book, or plot holes. I would like for y'all of NGU to share what you loved or hated about the movie! Recent movies I've watched and enjoyed: The Martian, Inside Out, No Escape, Spy. Recent movies I've hated: Jurassic World.

I've not seen it yet but I have plans to go see it in a couple days, I've heard mixed things but it really seems like my kind of film Glad you enjoyed it.

I heard nothing and saw nothing about it before I went to see it, but damn Matt Damon's fucking hilarious in the worst of situations!

Really great movie reccomand it 100%

I nearly fell asleep while watching Jurassic World. The older brother was so bland and arrogant the whole movie. The characters, in general, were bland to me. The only good thing was seeing Nathan Drake's look-a-like (Chris Pratt) in the movie ._. If a person asked me, I wouldn't even remember the plot much less acknowledged that there was one.

The nice thing about The Martian is how different it is from all the other Hollywood movies. It's just a guy doing his thang to survive, no aliens, unnecessary drama or relationships, no shooting etc.
