Post: Songs that were ruined for you

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Is there a specific song that for one reason or another, you can't stand now? I'm not talking because your local radio station played it 15x in a row. I mean is there an event or something tied to the song now that will forever ruin it for you?

Mine is Centuries by Fall Out Boy. Last year Notre Dame went down to Florida to face FSU and came so close to beating them, but lost due to a penalty. During the game, ESPN played the song over and over when going to commercial. Every single time I hear the song now, all I can think of is that game and the pain of the loss.

Linkin Park I listen to for the nostalgia (like three days grace, however their newest album wasn't bad). Grew up to it. As for Snow Patrol, they had a few good songs. My Chem was highly overrated. Pierce The Veil was terrible to begin with. I just hadn't tuned into real music when I did listen to PTV. If you want good music, that's unique and has deep meaning; listen to Coheed and Cambria. They are fucking stellar. Listened to them since I was a wee lad. For starting songs, I'd say: Welcome Home, The Afterman, The Crowing, A Favour House Atlantic, Crossing the Frame, & Vic the Butcher. If you want the songs to have even deeper meaning, you can look into their comics. All their songs are based on the comic that the singer (Claudio Sanchez) wrote. But without reading the comics, the songs are amazing on its on. The comics just add a much more lore factor and everything will make a bit more sense in the "background" of the songs. The name of the comic is The Amory Wars. Check it out mate!
